Ahmed A. Alvarez, R.A.

Senior Associate, Zyscovich Architects, Miami, Florida

Ahmed A. Alvarez is a prominent South Florida architect with extensive experience in complex mixed-use, institutional and residential projects. He has brought his knowledge and expertise to many iconic South Florida structures, such as the Lincoln Cinema on South Beach, where he worked closely with designer Bernard Zyscovich providing construction administration services. He also led the efforts as Project Manager for the Flamingo South Beach- which is now a South Beach landmark and a vibrant and dynamic place to live. He supervised the work on the new Temple Beth Shira in Miami Beach, which included a sanctuary, social hall, classrooms, a youth lounge and administrative areas.


His earlier years were split between the island nations of Cuba and Puerto Rico.

He later settled in South Florida where he attended the University of Miami and received a BA in Architecture. Ahmed is a Registered Architect in the state of Florida and an active member of the AIA, Miami Chapter. He has been a member

of the National Historic Preservation League of South Florida and throughout

the years has been a generous contributor to the United Way, Miami Chapter.

He actively participates in many of the local Rotary Club Charitable events. Ahmed is married surrounded by children and grandchildren. He is an Avid Scuba Diver and a lover of Music and Nature.
